As a former prisoner, let me just say that this is a horrendous, ignorant quote. I thought that widening our circle of compassion included a recognition that testing products on unwilling participants was wrong. To everyone who posted this and thought that they were being clever, you need to rethink the ethics of this nonsense. What about innocent people like Geronimo Pratt who was convicted of a murder that he did not do because the government was keen to put away a prominent activist? Should he have perfume thrown in his eyes? What about women convicted of murder for acts of self defense? Would you want them bound to metal chairs, devices implanted into the pain centers of their brains, being force fed detergent? Everyone who shared this nonchalantly should be ashamed.
